Freeze if using Ninja CREAMi: Pour the mixture into the Ninja CREAMi pint container and freeze for 12-24 hours until solid.
Process in machine: If using a traditional ice cream maker, churn according to your machine’s instructions. If using the Ninja CREAMi, process on the “Lite Ice Cream” or “Ice Cream” setting. Re-spin if needed.
Serve: Enjoy immediately for a soft-serve texture, or freeze for 15–20 minutes for a firmer scoop.
Notes
Sweetener Options: Cane sugar, allulose, maple syrup, or honey. If using maple syrup or honey, reduce the amount to 1/3 cup.Yogurt Type: For the most creamy texture, use full-fat or 2% plain Greek yogurt. Fat Free yogurt also works.Milk Options: Feel free to use any milk you prefer - dairy free milk alternatives to whole or skim milk can be used. I love using 1/2 cup milk and 1/2 cup heavy cream for the best balanced, creamy texture. Heavy cream makes it richer, while regular or dairy free milk keeps it lighter.Using the Ninja CREAMi: Be sure to freeze the blended mixture flat in the CREAMi pint for 24 hours before processing. You can respin if needed for extra creaminess.Add-Ins: After churning, try folding in chopped dark chocolate, chocolate chips, or a swirl of peanut butter for extra indulgence.Flavor Extracts: Feel free to substitute the vanilla extract with peppermint or your flavor of choice to switch up the flavor. Nutritional Information: Note that nutritional information will vary depending on what type of sweetener, yogurt, and milk you use. This nutrition is calculated using sugar free sweetener, almond milk, and low fat yogurt.
